Whether you bounced off a rock or had a brush with the baggage handlers - from a small ding to a whole chunk missing, however it happened HOTPiPE Surfboard Repairs can get you back in the water with a repair that’s smooth, watertight and doesn’t look like your mum did it after a couple of beers!
Our surfboard repairs are carried out using the best available materials – Custom surfboards, Epoxy boards, custom kiteboards and windsurfers all catered for.
There is a 'three level' repair service at HOTPiPE. 'Bronze, Silver and Gold'.
Watertight, shaped, sanded & polished but showing the scar! Many people like to show off their war wounds – after all, every ding tells a story! This type of repair costs the least, so if your watching the pennies, this is the one for you!
All of bronze, but with a decal or design sprayed over the repair to cover it up (see examples in the gallery.) This is a bit more expensive but keeps your board looking nice, with added individualism and should your board ever get nicked your repair 'tattoo' will make it stand out from the crowd!
The close to invisible repair! This is the most expensive as not only does it include a top quality repair but I aim to blend the repair in by colour matching the surrounding area, paint spraying and lacquering. (again, see examples in the gallery.) Colour matching is not easy with surfboards! But I'll try to get as close as possible if that's what you're after. (However, please note, I am not a miracle worker and some paint jobs may not be 100% possible. We can talk about it when I see your board.)
Email me a photo of the damage (or call and describe it) and I can give you an estimate of the cost. This is just an estimate however, as to give you a proper quote I will need to see your board up close!
Once seen and inspected I will be able to give you an accurate quote and how long the repair will take. The price quoted is the price you pay – NO hidden extras! Once you have agreed the quote I can start the work and will call to let you know when your board is ready for return.
Good old fashioned cash or cheque! It all goes through the books, just the way the tax man likes it! (Sorry, no credit cards)
The workshop is in Worthing, between the A259 and A27 (call for directions), but I do pick up from 'FILF' in Rottingdean, 'OCEANSPORTS' in Hove and for windsurfers I pick up from Surfladle in Shoreham. If it's easier for you to leave your board in one of these shops I can pick it up and return it there. For further info on repairs; to chat about 'your ding' and for directions to the workshop give me a call: 078 078 22403
